北外—基尔外交学中外合作办学项目外籍教师艾伦·约瑟夫·谢泼德

艾伦在英语教学（ELT）和技能培训方面积累了近三十年的经验。他早年在欧洲和东南亚从事一线教学工作，后续工作重心转移到拉丁美洲、非洲、中东和亚洲，主要从事英国文化处中心和机构管理方面的工作。近年来，艾伦参与了所在国教育部在阿布扎比和内罗毕的教育改革项目。2018年以来，艾伦一直在北外—基尔外交学合作办学项目任教。

艾伦持有英语教学（TEFL）教育硕士学位，职业生涯的大部分时间都在英国文化处度过。丰富的海外经历促使艾伦特别关注“小文化”、身份认同以及教育方法和教学法中的文化适切性等问题。

Alan Joseph Shepherd

I have some thirty years experience of ELT and Skills Training, initially at the chalk face in Europe and South East Asia and more extensively in centre and institutional management across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. More recently I have been working with Ministries on Education reform programmes in Abu Dhabi and Nairobi before joining the Keele collaboration programme in here in Beijing.

I hold an MEd in TEFL and had spent the greater part of my career with the UK’s cultural relations organization, based primarily overseas. The experience has prompted my particular area of interest around notions of small cultures, identity and cultural appropriacy in educational approach and method.
